VENDOR DATES:

EVENT LOCATION:      

Hart Plaza, 1 Hart Plaza, Jefferson

 

Set Up Time:  Thursday July 18th

12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Product Vendors: Friday, July 19th  6:00 a.m. through 12 p.m.  

Hours of Operation:   Friday & Saturday 1:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Sun: 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

 

Product Vendor 3-Day Rental Fee:  Please list all items you intend to sell and return a signed copy of this signed agreement and payment in full. Mail in your application/agreement by check.  There is a $100.00 refundable site/booth clean-up deposit. If your site is clean after you depart, you will receive your $100.00 deposit within 2 weeks of the festival ending.                                                                                                                            

Food - Concession Vendor 3-Day Rental Fee: Grill food only. Please list all items you intend to sell and return a signed copy of this signed agreement and payment in full. Mail in your application/agreement by check. There is a $100.00 refundable site/booth clean-up deposit. If your site is clean after you depart, you will receive your $100.00 deposit within 2 weeks of the festival ending.   

        

Vendor License & Insurance: All Food Vendors are required to have and verify their own vendor’s license and a Certificate of Insurance listing in The City of Detroit and it's agents and Detroit State Fair , Inc. and it's agents. This must be presented upon arrival to the food vendor coordinator.

 

Fees and Sales Percentage:  No sales percentage will apply. 

ICE & BEVERAGES

All Ice, Pop and Bottled Water for sale and must be purchased through the Festival and priced at the same rate designated by the festival unless specified and approved on your contract.

 

REMOVAL OF EQUIPMENT, TRAILERS & ALL VENDOR VEHICLES

 

To minimize the risk of accidents, Vendors will not be permitted to move vehicles or trailers until times below.

Departure on Sunday:     After 11:00 p.m. or Monday 8:00 a.m.

 

Detroit Island Music Festival reserves the right to deny selling any food product if item is already contracted by another vendor. We reserve the right to select or refuse vendors or products. If you're not selected by our committee, your payment check will be returned.

Terms and Conditions

 

  • Management maintains the right to approve all applicants. Your application will be reviewed for final vendor selection and type of food or products to be sold at each booth.
  • Vendor must meet all Health & Safety requirements and possess a valid Vendor’s License.
  • Vendor’s License must be displayed during the course of the event.
  • Vendor must have Liability Insurance and provide an Insurance Certificate and a copy for our records.
  • All food must be protected from contamination and stored in approved, sealed containers.
  • Under no circumstances, should persons with colds, flu, skin infections or health problems prepare or serve food to customers.
  • No smoking is permitted while preparing, handling, and serving food.
  • Persons handling food must use disposable gloves and meet all food handling requirements of the Wayne County Health Department.
  • Vendor must supply adequate supply of paper and plastic products for its own customers.
  • Vendor must supply adequate supply of food & back up supplies to meet festival demands.
  • Store refuse in covered, moisture resistant containers. Absolutely NO GREASE  is to be dumped on property.
  • Vendor must supply an approved, fully charged  Fire Extinguisher, and have a current authorized inspection tag.
  • Propane tanks are not to be stored in trailers or trucks, and kept away from open flame devices.
  • No Pets or overnight camping permitted. Security to be provided by the Promoters.

Both parties agree that the vendor is contracting as a self-employed, independent contractor and is not an employee of the Detrioit Island Music Festival or Hart Plaza.  

Vendor shall hold harmless, Detroit Island Music Festival, it’s agents and all sponsors involved, for any loss, injury, theft and damage.

Detroit Island Music Festival reserves the right to remove any vendor that doesn't meet our terms and conditions, or violates any health or safety violations.
